What is PSE certified PSC and S-Marks?
In Japan, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) is the regulator responsible for the Electrical and Material Safety Act, which regulates the manufacture and sale of electrical and electronic products to prevent potential hazards. The electrical and electronic products specified in this Law are divided into specific electrical appliances and materials (Class A) and non-specific electrical appliances and materials (B) electrical appliances and materials importers (hereinafter referred to as "electrical appliances", whether it is A or B, Obligation to ensure that the appliance meets the mandatory technical requirements and that the applicable PSE mark is affixed to the appliance before placing the appliance.

In particular, any particular appliance or material (Class A) shall be subject to a third party conformity assessment and shall be marked with the PSE diamond logo upon successful certification by a third party conformity assessment body. TüV SüD is authorized by METI to certify specific electrical appliances (Class A) and is therefore the gateway to manufacturers of electrical appliances to the Japanese market.

PSE mark diamond PSE and round PSE:
The Electrical and Material Safety Act (DENAN) was established by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) to regulate the safety of electrical and electronic products (Class A and Class B).
Products classified as Class A require a conformance test and a registered conformity assessment body, and then the manufacturer or importer can attach the Diamond PSE mark to the product.
The Circle PSE logo is for products classified in Category B. Manufacturers and importers of these products can claim compliance by testing DENAN's technical requirements at the manufacturing stage and keeping a copy of the test report.


PSC mark
The goal of the Consumer Product Safety Act is to ensure the safety of consumer goods. Like DENAN, products need to pass a conformance test to get the PSC logo.
 
S mark
S-Mark is a voluntary safety certification program established for the electrical products by the Japan Electric Electronics and Parts Safety Certification Steering Committee (SCEA). This certification reflects your commitment to product safety.
 
PSE certified product line:
1. 165 types of A products are as follows:
1. Wire and cable, fuses, wiring equipment (electrical accessories, lighting equipment, etc.), current limiters, transformers, ballasts
2. Electrical appliances, power application machinery (home appliances), electronic applications, mechanical equipment (high frequency epilator)
3. Other AC electrical equipment (electric shock insects, DC power supply unit), carrying the engine
Second, 333 Class B products are divided into 7 parts:
1. Simple wiring sleeve and junction box;
2. Simple single-phase motor between 100V and 300V;
3. Household appliances;
4. Household appliances or video products;
5. Use light or civilian or household products;
6. Household and commercial electronic products;
7. Other electrical products between 100V and 300V.
PSE certification data preparation:
1. Application submission information: business license, application form;
2. Test preparation information:
1) CB report (including Japanese difference test);
2) layout diagram;
3) PCB design drawings related to safety regulations;
4) Specifications of the transformer and coil parts;
5) a list of key components and their certificates;
6) Japanese manual or assembly manual;
7) Japanese nameplates and warning signs (including the supplier name of the PSE logo and notice);
8) Structure data table;
9) A list of production and calibration certificates used in factory production.
3. Test provides samples: at least two of the main test models, one for each of the derived models.
PSE certification period:
3-5 weeks (complete information, no need for rectification of samples);
PSE certificate validity period:
Class A diamond 3 years, 5 years, 7 years (see specific products)
Class B round 1 year, 2 years, 3 years (see product for details)
