What is ETL certification?
ETL is the abbreviation of Electrical Testing Laboratories. The ETL laboratory was founded in 1896 by the inventor Edison and enjoys a high reputation in the United States and around the world. For example, UL, CSA, and ETL test the US-issued ETL certification mark according to UL standards and national standards. The composite certification mark can also be issued according to UL standards or US national standards and CSA standards or Canadian standards. The lower right corner of "we" means that it applies to the United States, the lower left corner of "C" means that it applies to Canada, and the "we" and "C" of both countries apply.

Application of ETL certification standards
Any electrical, mechanical or electromechanical product with the ETL logo is as long as the product has met the low requirements through the generally accepted US and Canadian product safety standards, which have been tested to comply with relevant product safety standards.
ETL also requires that the production site has been inspected and that the applicant agrees and then tracks the regular factory to ensure that the product continues to meet the requirements.

ETL certification scope
The company has passed the test according to the relevant product safety standards, and the production plants are subject to regular inspections. To ensure the consistency of product quality, the company can be sold to the US and Canada markets.

The importance of ETL certification labels:
Example of the ETLPVC-001 label - To ensure performance, when specifying a product for a corrosive environment, the best course of action is to choose a product with a separate product test label, such as the ETL certification mark. For safety, make sure your PVC coated tubing has a UL list where both PVC and zinc are listed as primary protection.
 
The chart shows the different lists you should look for as it relates to coating performance and level of protection. Level 1 and Level 2 tests and compliance are included in the UL6 list, which also includes a free list of DYJC. If the PVC coated conduit is listed under UL6, the DYJC list does not require further testing, only the instrumental functions of the additional list are required, and the ETL tests the conformance and consistency of the Level 3 performance.

Products that can receive ETL listings include:

Apply for the ETL certification process:
1. Predictive: 1 week or so

ETL certification cycle: generally 4 to 5 weeks, can be expedited

Application documents required for ETL certification:
There are two ways to obtain ETL certificates in 2013. One is to pass the CB test report, or you can apply directly, and submit the following documents:

2.CB test certificate copy (not required for direct application)
3. Copy of CB test report (not required for direct application)
4. Sample
5. Other relevant test results and product data, such as: product manuals, photos, parts lists, etc.
(If you pass a turn CB report, you need to test the difference)

ETL certified factory inspection
ETL needs to follow up the factory inspection from time to time before and after the factory inspection, except for the factory inspection fee, which is the quarter of the license fee for the certificate.
If necessary, the inspector can test after sampling to witness the product in the test product or laboratory. The license must be signed by a law with the contract ETL (Service), which is clearly used by the manufacturer's responsibility, and the terms of the continuous ETL column and the ETL mark.

How much is ETL certification:
1. Inspection fee (depending on different products); product pictures can be sent to Hengtai Testing Professional ETL certified engineers to evaluate the quotation for you;
2. The first factory inspection fee: RMB 2,500 (plus travel expenses);
3. Quarterly follow-up factory inspection fee: RMB 1,530 per quarter (plus travel expenses);
4. Quarterly license fee: RMB 1,670 per quarter;
5. Annual fee for self-printing labels: RMB 3,500;
