CE certification is a compulsory safety certification for products exported to EU market. How to do CE certification? CE three kinds of authentication mode, usually uses the second mode.

1. The certificate is a self declaration and should not be issued by a third party organization. Therefore, it can be replaced by the EU form of declaration of conformity.

2. "Certificate of conformity", which is a declaration of conformity issued by a third party organization, must be attached with technical data such as test report TCF. At the same time, the enterprise should also sign the "Declaration of conformity".

3. "Certificate of conformity with EU standards", which is issued by the notified body (NB). According to EU regulations, only NB is qualified to issue CE declaration of EC type.

CE certification application process

1. The applicant or manufacturer shall submit CE certification application to Baosteel.

2. The applicant shall fill in the CE marking application form and send the application form, product instruction manual and technical documents to Baosteel (if necessary, the application company is required to provide a prototype).

3. Baosida shall determine the inspection standards and inspection items and quote.   

4. The applicant shall confirm the quotation and mail the samples and relevant technical documents to Baosteel.

5. Baosteel issues a charge notice to the applicant, and the applicant shall pay the certification fee according to the charge notice.   

6. Baosteel conducts product testing and reviews technical documents.   

7. Review of technical documents includes:

A whether the document is complete.

B whether the document is written in the official language of the European Community (English, German or French).

8. If the technical documents are not perfect or the specified language is not used, Baosteel will inform the applicant for improvement.   

9. If the test is unqualified, Baosteel will inform the applicant in time and allow the applicant to improve the product. So, until the test is qualified. The applicant shall modify the technical data in the original application so as to reflect the actual situation after the change.   

10. For the rectification costs involved in items 8 and 9 of this page, Baosteel will issue a supplementary charge notice to the applicant.   

11. The applicant shall pay the rectification fee according to the supplementary charge notice.   

12. The laboratory shall provide the applicant with product test report or technical document (TCF), CE conformity certificate (COC) and CE mark.   

13. The applicant signs the CE assurance self declaration and affix the CE mark on the product.
